Back in 1982 I discovered the definitive theory of autism and it eventually got past the anti-publication system and was published in 1993 (in a "peer-reviewed" journal for what it's worth). No fault of reasoning or evidence has been shown. Basically I concur with the speakers that there is an interaction of genetic and environmental factors. My theory spelt out quite why that was. Currently I am sending to a journal a major update review of my 1993 paper. This update contains proof beyond doubt that there has been a major increase caused (mainly) by the change to non-gamma-2 dental amalgams in the 1970s. Oh they forgot to tell you about that! Holliakala Posted 7/22/2010	I've been doing research for over 3 years & there seems to be a few common threads I've noticed regarding those on the autism spectrum. Here is an overview: 1) A Blood Type – I read somewhere that more than 60% of children on the autism spectrum have A blood type and/or, have mother’s who are RH- negative & received the Rhogham shot during pregnancy. I also found that “A” blood type is apparently more permissible when it comes to allowing pathogens into the blood stream. Based on this, is it possible that “A” blood types, when faced with severe invasion of neurotoxins such as metals, MSG, GMO foods & other environmental toxins, be faced with a more severe adverse reaction neurologically? 2) Regular intake of MSG & forms of MSG- MSG is a neurotoxin & found in almost all processed foods- even organic foods! Look4Qualilty Posted 7/20/2010	@josema I am impressed with Dr Buttar because in one of his videos, he stated that his treatment protocols will not work long term unless the patient addresses the cause of the problem by cleaning up the patient's toxic environment and also adopting a healthy toxic free lifestyle. He tells his patients to see him after 6 months of "clean living" and he noted many patients improve so much that they feel they don't need his treatments! I don't know of any mainstream doctor who would not want to maximize profits by immediately starting treatments.

And how relieved people are when that great day finally arrives -- Thanks goodness the vaccine is finally here! Now let's all rush to the nearest medical office and get vaccinated before they run out of vaccine! healthconsciousinIndiana Posted 7/19/2010	This is such a great video that offers hope to families that are dealing with a child or loved one with autism! I, too, believe that it is related to environmental exposures that affect the genetic make-up during development, including exposures to mercury, pesticides, vaccinations, and more. Also another possible contributor is vitamin D deficiency (especially during development of the fetus and in infancy). My hope is that many can benefit from the suggestions in this video! See a Dr. who is willing to look at the root cause and work with the family to eliminate the causative factors.

onemorecoke Posted 7/17/2010	I think the Dr is right, there are always some genetic dispositions that cause people to react differently to a variety of chemical substances. The genetic disposition of people has probably been reasonably constant, but when I look back over my lifetime, there has been a lot of changes "chemically". When I grew up, there was no one-serving bottled water, we did not eat out much, and most things were made out of metal or some other substance with "Tupperware" being somewhat new. I read in Time magazine April 12, 2010 how plastics are so much a part of our lives, and really how toxic they can be. When I drank water, we got it out of the tap...not great, but at least the handing of the water was basically chlorine. Over the past 20 years, almost all the water I drink is from plastic bottles that have expiration dates! What does that expiration date mean? Basically the toxins in the plastic eventual leak into the water and it is dangerous! What havoc does that play in our systems?
