See and learn about the original Greening the Desert site and see some of the spin-off effects of its influence throughout Jordan, and you'll also be introduced to a new educational demonstration site that was started in 2008.

This is inspiring, practical work - the kind of work that should be encouraged, supported and emulated worldwide. It is the ultimate root-cause type of aid work.

Wonderful! Sent to a friend in Uzbekistan just starting a 15 acre demonstration field (has dorm building and empty Lab building, no well, etc.). He responded: My internet speed is not adequate to watch these videos fully, but I think from the little I saw that they could be a gem for ideas in arid lands. So I've added David and Seth into this loop so that if they get excited about some of these ideas, they might pursue things more fully, try some of them in Kingsburg, and consider bringing some of that technology back to Central Asia with them (perhaps stopping off in Jordan along the way to see it first hand). We might also be able to use these videos, if captured on DVD, for some classes which David could teach on Water Harvesting and Desert Oasis Blooming ..... Hope he makes connections with you. PLEASE KEEP A HELPING EYE OUT FOR HIM
