Old Anti Smoking public service message from the 80's showing the effects of just one cigarette on the nervous and circulatory system and how despite the fact that people say smoking relaxes them.. biologically it's doing just the opposite. In a previous film they showed all the incredible damage that the smoking does to the lungs. By drying out the lungs the lung tissue was dry and crusty thus causing them to greatly decrease in function.

In the early 90's it was learned that smoking not only effects the lungs in this manner, but the arteries and veins too, leaving a person far more susceptible to stroke and aneurysms. This is why ever since then they have recommended that smokers get at least 200mg of vitamin C per day to help keep the arteries and veins softer and more pliable to help prevent strokes. In fact everyone, smoker and non smoker alike should be consuming 3000mg of vitamin C per day or more JUST as a regular maintenance dose since the body requires FAR more vitamin C than the useless RDA would have you believe.
