Ed Harrold describes and demonstrates the 3-part breath known as diaphragmatic breathing. This deep belly breathing is the basic breath in most yoga styles. The 3-part breath allows us to inhale the breath through our nose down into the abdomen. The inhale is complete when the breath reaches just under the collarbone. At that point, we begin the exhale. This is a great tool for upper respiratory conditions, cardiovascular disease, weight loss, anxiety and depression disorders. It is also the basic breath to use in all exercise.

I love your energy and information brother, I really do. But your constant swallowing and cheek smacking is making me lose my concentration and making me swallow a lot too. Distracting.....
