Hello Mike.. well, my kids (10) they do bring all that "not cool" food to school. They bring carrots, celery, dried apricots, peanuts (in shell!). One of them brings home made kefir, or just plain fermented milk, home made yogurt with some jam in it. Salads with hemp oil. I prepare a warm lunch and put it in a thermos container to keep it warm, they eat it either from it or they dump it on a plate or a bowl that they bring with them from home. For drinks also a hot kakao in a thermos (whole organic milk and 100% cocoa powder without alkali, a bit of sugar and vanilla extract). I tell them that being DIFFERENT some kids may look upon as a "new cool" and as my son put it as a "pioneer, the first the maverick" So for all of your health conscious parents don't be afraid to experiment!!!!!
