jacktamma Posted 2/2/2012 1:28:17 AM	Good idea, yet pretty short on the products you decided to expose as not raw. Sugar in the Raw has been around longer than I've been on this earth and I would hope any raw foodist or non-raw health conscious consumer would already be well aware of this basic fact. Yet thank you for not bashing them and stating that it's actually not a deceiving product. There are a number of educated and conscious raw-foodists out here, including myself (not 100% raw, yet support the movement and eat mostly raw food) that are well aware of the frauds taking place in this industry. There are prominent brands who are promoted by prominent figures, that i've seen speak in person, that are not raw and I think, or at least hope, many of us know what products these are. I'm an avid traveler and while I'm traveling in countries that grow a number of raw foods we all consume, I check out where they come from and how they are processed (i worked in the Philippines in the Peace Corps for a short stint and
Alek Posted 2/1/2012 11:42:52 PM	Mike, you noticed company "Sugar in The Raw" which also produces "Stevia Extract in The Raw". But this product is not sugar free! And this fact masked by manipulation with terms. Company says product is “calorie free”. What is probably right, because it has less than 4 calories in each packet. But, this statement covers fact that product contents sugar, which they call "dextrose". Dextrose is just another name for glucose!!! By the way, they do not post information about content of dextrose (glucose) in this product on website! You can find it only on package, printed with fine print (“sugar less than 1g”). Can you check it and make your decision?

It does not present like chemical free coconut water to me. I have experience, but I have not chemical tested it. Could you ask them to change their procedures to not dipping in the preservative after harvest? Thank you.

How about testing probiotic foods for us such as So Delicious & Kevita coconut kefirs, and the raw saurkrauts sold in stores (My store sells PowerKraut). Keep up the good work man, we love ya.
asplespng Posted 2/1/2012 3:36:55 PM	Deceptive indeed. I was hoping there would be a mention of raw almonds sold in the U.S. not really being raw. I've seen so-called organic raw almond butters that even list (and they legally can) raw almonds in the ingredients, when, in fact, they are required by law to be flash pasteurized. Fortunately some brands have begun mentioning the pasteurization in the ingredients.. although they still use the word "RAW" on the front of the jar.

It would help for them to know that flash pasteurization however, brief, accomplishes the killing of enzymes and probably vitamins, as well. I wonder if the bottle is bpa free. I buy glass these days!

This is great if they were actually trying to place in products that help ppl take advantage of this amazing healthy lifestyle. However when they are not its harming people and creating a fraud upon those consumers who take their label for what it is and do not look deeper into the company. So i was also wondering if there was a way i could speak or get into contact with Mike Adams ?
