||Greetings: I have practiced since 1978, I was trained to think about healing from the inside out versus treating the symptoms from the outside in. I continually witness excellent results on a variety of health concerns and I do not use meds in my practice. You can go to www.druglessdoctor.com and check out--"Dr. Bob's Drugless Guide to Balancing Female Hormones" it will change your life. Watch this recent hangout I hosted for our practice members to discover the real causes of breast cancer.
Dr. Bob De Maria’s Drugless Strategies to Avoid Cancer
American Cancer Society:
What is a carcinogen?
Cancer is caused by changes in a cell's DNA – its genetic "blueprint." Some of these changes may be inherited from our parents, while others may be caused by outside exposures, which are often referred to as environmental factors. Environmental factors can include a wide range of exposures, such as:
1.Lifestyle factors (nutrition, tobacco use, physical activity, etc.)
2.Naturally occurring exposures (ultraviolet light, radon gas, infectious agents, etc.)
3.Medical treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, immune system-suppressing drugs, etc.)
4.Workplace exposures (chemicals, solvents, sprays, cleansers, vapors, air quality)
5.Household exposures (herbicides, pesticides, paint vapors, gasoline other chemicals)
6.Pollution (xenohormones or estrogens in water, herbicides, pesticides; also toxic air)
Substances and exposures that can lead to cancer are called carcinogens. Some carcinogens do not affect DNA directly, but lead to cancer in other ways. For example, they may cause cells to divide at a faster than normal rate, which could increase the chances that DNA changes will occur.
Carcinogens do not cause cancer in every case, all the time. Substances labeled as carcinogens may have different levels of cancer-causing potential. Some may cause cancer only after prolonged, high levels of exposure. And for any particular person, the risk of developing cancer depends on many factors, including how they are exposed to a carcinogen, the length and intensity of the exposure, and the person's genetic makeup.
Dr. Bob: There are time tested strategies preventing cancer cells from proliferating via a wellness model created by following a realistic lifestyle with the awareness of options and a plan reducing toxic exposure alongside with increasing optimal liver function. It also crucial to have your lymph system flowing freely, a thyroid functioning within normal and adequate Vitamin D and Iodine; also reduce sugar use which will limit the anaerobic source of fuel for cancer activity--discontinue all artificial products. We are living in a sea of chemicals which create a massive demand on normal detoxification.
1.Sulfur: I would focus on fresh sulfur based foods like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. Sulfur is important for liver clearing and neutralizing estrogen. Vary the way you prepare the veggies; steamed, raw or sautéed. Magnesium is necessary for bowel function; kale and Swiss chard. Gluten compromises mineral absorption and zinc deficiencies.
2.Liver function: Dr. Bob’s ABC’s—one half of a red apple, one third cup of beet FIBER, and one medium carrot. Liver body signals; cherry hemangiomas, varicose veins, spider veins and or hemorrhoids. Gall bladder distress is common after baby number two. Body signals include a metal taste in the mouth—digestive distress with onions, cucumbers, green peppers and radishes. They are not bad foods—they create liver function. The liver has healthy scavengers called kupffer cells necessary for clearing un-wanted bacteria, viruses and cancer cells. Your desire is to have optimal liver/gall bladder function. Gall bladder removal is a precursor from my experience to predispose for potential cancer.
3.The lymph system is a part of the immune system, a channel to carry a variety of items. Lymph nodes are a part of the defense mechanism. You want lymph flowing freely which would be a reason to minimize dairy and drink more water; exercise.
4.Thyroid function is important for colon function. Your goal is to have at least two to three bowel movements daily. The thyroid needs to have an adequate supply of iodine. Iodine is very significant for optimal health and cancer prevention. Seventy two percent of the population is iodine deficient; halides are family elements including bromine, fluorine and chlorine all of which antagonize iodine. Iodine also a key player for limiting cell life; cancer cells can grow unchecked without adequate iodine. You can have your urine iodine tested. I personally take 12 mg of iodine daily. It can be sourced from sea veggies (avoid Pacific Kelp) and deep ocean fish.
5.Constipation is a factor in that is creates an extra demand on liver function. I have noticed an increased number of women over 50 have constipation, high blood pressure, muscle cramps, and anxiety related to a magnesium deficiency. You should have two to three BM’s daily.
6.Estrogen: Breast cancer takes the lives of 45,000 women each year in the US; 95% of those cases are caused by excessive estrogen. Managing estrogen clearing and creating a plan of optimal breast strategy can be confidently developed by respecting the basic principles of apoptosis (limited cell life) and liver health. A history of tender breasts and heavy menses is an important body signal that you want managed. Ablation surgery is cauterizing the lining of the uterus—a long term plan would be to reduce estrogen exposure and improve liver clearing. B Vitamins and liver support help clear estrogen. Calcium D Glucarate is an excellent product to improve estrogen removal. Milk thistle, dandelion root and peppermint leaf are liver herbs.
7.Vitamin D: Vitamin D is commonly deficient in our society for various reasons including avoiding sunshine, sun blockers, geographic location and age. Vitamin D improves apoptosis; individuals with dark skin tend to have lower D levels. Vitamin D can be supplemented as a capsule, liquid or sun bathing.
8.Weight: abdominal fat creates estrogen which causes cell proliferation and liver compromise.
9.Prostate/Colon/Lungs: Iodine helps reduce prostate swelling. Regular bowel movements are significant for colon function. Smoking and toxic exposure impair lung function.
10.Spine and Nervous system function: The nerves carry messages to all cells and help improve immune function and a reason why we have few patients diagnosed with cancer.
