Vitamin D (Calciferol, Viosterol, Ergosterol – precursor to Vitamin D2) – Sunshine Vitamin. As I stated on this recording is not actually a vitamin as such but a pre-hormone.
It is vital to have enough in our body. Having said that it’s vital we have all vitamins, minerals, trace elements, etc in various proportions in our body!
Vitamin D3 is fat soluble and acquired through sunlight and or diet.
Taken with Vitamin A and C, Vit D3 can prevent colds, helps utilise calcium and phosphorus for strong bones and teeth with magnesium and Vitamin K.
The recent research clearly shows it can prevent and or even reverse all forms of Cancer too! Check out Mike Adams website for more information and visit www.grassrootshealth.org for a sample kit if you’re going to measure your blood levels and www.vitamindcouncil.org for more expert information.
Naturally the best source is from our sun – UVB will convert 7-Dehydrocholesterol (on your skin) into vitamin D3.
The best natural sources are: fish liver oils, sardines, herring, salmon, tuna (may also include heavy metals, PCB’s, etc!) and some dairy products (eggs).
People who are dark skinned are required to spend up to 10 times longer in the mid day sun to reap the benefits.
Supplements – I have found taking liquid vitamin D3 from www.nutri.co.uk and www.beyondhealth.com to be the most beneficial. My wife and I take between 5,000-8,000IU’s over the Autumn and Winter period. During the Summer we spend much time in the sun daily.
Like most things in life, too little may not be sufficient and too much can be toxic. I therefore recommend you have your blood levels tested at least every 6-12 months if you are taking supplements >10,000IU’s Vitamin D.
Create a great loving day
Sending love

Dr Organic, you asked about is it safe to take it as a supplement. If it is Cholecalciferol (D3) and may also contain mixed Vitamin E - YES. Q: What were your vitmain D blood level results? Did you manage to receive them from your nurse? Most Brit's are vitamin D deficient (c80%). I use nutri.co.uk. I take 8,000IU's, I have my blood levels tested every 6 months through grassrootshealth.org Of all the tests a person could have, I reckon vit D3 is one of the most important. I think liquid D3 with some oil/fat taken with food is better than the powered version, but you'll find the truth when taking D3 supplement and having your blood levels tested. Sending love MM

That's great news. Ensure it's 25 OH Vitamin D test! That would be correct assuming that your body is able to absorb and utilise it. That's where the testing comes in. That's funny you should mention that. I did offer my services to a local school in Kendal "The Queen Katherine School" - Year 11 Health & Social Care – "The Impact of Diet on Health" back in 2007. I had one child in the whole group that was so disruptive, the others enjoyed the foods I brought in and the information I taught them. I've had over seven years teaching at a UK Uni, but those undergrads wanted to learn and be there. My wife is a Yoga instructor www.yogakidz.co.uk and she has set up Nutrikidz. I'm open to 'reminding' children HOW TO take control of their health. I was once told we are all children... we just dress and carry the persona of an adult! Let me know how you get on with your vitamin D. Enjoy

Thanks Magnus for the reply. God willing my local GP will test my vitamin D levels next week. I hope not to meet much resistance to this. I'b eee taking 10,000iu for the past few days now, can't say i feel any different but i read that it does take time for the vitamin d levels to build back up in the body, is this correct ? Keep up the great work, i think you would be great in schools teachign our kids about nutrition and the body.

Many thanks for your messages Dr Organic. 1. If you're referring to the liquid Vitamin D3 at Nutri (new product) my wife and I can confirm its potency and quality. Sarah's level was 77Ng/ml over 6 months and mine with Beyond Health was 90Ng/ml. Over the Summer my Vitamin D3 level was 50Ng/ml (from the sun) and I'm now using the liquid version from Nutri, but won't have the results for another four months. As I stated on the recording, it may be an individual thing, as to the right potency level. Also as you know it's fat soluble and should therefore be taken with some FAT. We use various Eskimo 3 oils (I always switch EPA, DHA, ALA, GLA, etc levels) when taking Vitamin D liquid. 2. Your statement may serve you well and I too would recommend that anyone taking 10,000IU's + of Vitamin D3 should get their blood levels tested every 3-6 months. I'm informed that they should not be higher than 200Ng/ml in ones blood. I'd be interested to hear about your Vit D3 result levels. Awesome Dr

Thanks Magnus, i stay in the Northern Hemisphere, i am currently taking 10,000iu of vitamind3/day, will do so for a month and see how it goes, from my research this dose is perfectly safe and you should at least use this dose for 3 months. Blood level test very soon.
