I cringe to think that the reason I care about and work diligently on my childrens' nutrition is so they can be cannon fodder for our never ending imperialistic wars! That is the only logical argument I have ever heard in my life for taking my kid to McDonalds. Just kidding of course! I have seen a lot about this lately because of the new report Too fat to fight II. What they have failed to address in this report is a problem that will put the weight issue to shame. And that is the autism epidemic. The numbers from over 4 years ago was 1 in 88, 1 in 54 boys. These children are and will be unfit to serve, most will require just the opposite 24/7 care for the rest of their lives. Social Security is already sounding the alarm as record numbers of 21 year olds with Autism sign up for SS and Medcaire for life, and we haven't even seen the biggest wave of the autism tsunami yet. You're so right Mike. Viet Nam was the last war with healthy Americans. Not so strangely enough that was before High Fructose Corn Syrup. No doubt about it. HFCS is killing our children. Known to cause Type 2 diabetes and obesity. Just say no to GMO and HFCS and be healthy.
