What is real health care reform? It is not what happened with the Affordable Care Act of 2010. Our present level of health care will now be available to 30 million more uninsured people, but as far as health care itself is concerned, we lost ground. It will be difficult to maintain the same poor standard of care now existing (we are ranked 37th in the world by the World Health Organization) as there are no additional funds coming into health care services and there are a lot more people who will be covered. The rich will continue to get the best health care in the world...they can pay out of pocket for it.
It is time for the American people to stop listening to advertisements for products we don't need but continue to purchase. If we spent our dollars wisely, corporate America would be at our feet. We cannot afford today's health care system, more than 50% of us have a chronic illness, and the safety of modern medicine has come into serious question.
We must take responsibility for our own health by living a healthy lifestyle...there is no other way to be healthy. Pogo was right, we have found the enemy... Unless we evolve to a higher level of consciousness we cannot evolve to the next level. Are we going to revolve or evolve?
