These are so ubiquitous in our food chain and yet slowly compromise our immune systems.
1. Gluten (Wheat, Barley and Rye)
2. Sugar (anything ending in OSE, OL or IN) and
3. Sweeteners (such as: Aspartame, Splenda - Sucrolose, AceSulfame potassium, saccharin & Neotame)
If you feed your child any of these products on a regular basis, you’ll shorten their lives and their quality of life.
Better alternatives have been on the Human menu for generations – meat vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, beans, pulses, seaweed, etc.
My invite is for you to make smarter choices about WHAT and WHEN you feed your child. If you’re not sure, ask a simple Q: “Was this item I’m about to give my child on the Human menu 10,000 years ago?” If not, choose again. You’ll find that if they are more alive than that which you’re about to feed them, you have a much smarter choice to make.
“What shall I give them to drink?” Think about what 70%+ of our body is composed of…H2O.
Have fun, love and light
Magnus

Many thanks for your messages Dr organic. I would recommend you have another look at Quinoa. It actually isn't a good fruit to consume. I know it loks like a seed, but it's a fruit! It also compromises your gut. Millet can also slow down your thyroid, so eat too much of that. Amaranth is great and buckwheat. Happy days, sending love MM

I just found out from reading the 'Thrive Diet' by professional VEGAN ironman triathlete that wheat and corn are actually completely unnatural crops, no wonder they are causing issues and they are in everything. Spelt is a natural grain but has a little bit of gluten. I prefer to eat quinoa, millet and buckwheat and brown rice, no problem, i don't eat bread any more and don't miss it. I also avoid refined white sugar in products and opt for stevia and xylitol if i must have sweetness, i also like to substitute cacoa for carob and coffee for yerba mate ocassionally. The thrive diet is a great book. Highly recommended.

Ha, this is funny, i was talking to jehovah's witnesses the other day and was saying to themi am 31 years old but i truly feel like a child that truly KNOWS nothing. Apparently this is in the bible that Jesus sais we should be like children forever learning. Yeah the madness of people that shop at the supermarkets never ceases t amaze me, but they are uninformed as i once was. So if i can change so can they.

Hi, I would like to know more about gluten. I have become a fan of making veggie burgers and patties where the main ingredient is pure gluten and I wonder if what I used to consider a healthy meal (I used to combine the gluten with vegetables, buts, etc) is actually really bad for the health of my family?

Hey Dr Organic, welcome back! It is difficult if you're used to buying it and consuming products that contain it. Oats are gluten free... unless they were transported in a container which housed barley, wheat, rye and or was collected in an environment that also handles b, w or Rye. Yes gluten in oats will be an big challenge for some people, esp. those labelled with Celiac. Thank you for your message ref. to our kitchen. No doubt more to come. Chia seeds are great. I also use herbs, you may have seen our herb rack. Love and light

I love chia seeds, this is my main energy gel for my running and triathlons. When soaked overnight it makes the ideal consistency for an energy gel and if you add a few drops of some flavoured liquid stevia tastes truly sublime. Thanks for showing you your cupboards Magnis, i liked that. Your place is similar to my own. I use more herbs.

It's really difficult to avoid gluten but not impossible. I don't eat bread any more, and i noticed quickly how much i don't even miss it, i prefer ot eat fruit/smoothies now instead. The ONLY form of gluten i eat is from oats, they are organically grown. Magnus, do you think the gluten in oats is a problem ? Is it less of a problem than wheat gluten ?
