High quality protein powders that are not denatured do exist. For detailed information about how to choose a quality protein powder read chapter 11 of the Super Health Diet by KC Craichy.

Well, complete proteins are the issue, and veggies don't have those. As I understand, the main advantage of juicing is mainlining nutrients without much digestion required. Adding protein powder seems counter-intuitive. First, there is no "good" protein powder. By definition, it is processed and denatured. Second, it requires more digestion.

You are correct - vegetables do have protein. The protein in LivingProtein comes from yellow pea and brown rice protein. A large and growing body of research suggests that the U.S. Government's proposed levels of protein intake are far below what is optimal for super health. The Food and Nutrition Board of the U.S. National Academy of Science recommends a daily allowance of .08 grams of protein per kilo (2.2 pounds) of body weight per day for adults, regardless of age. However, the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture recommends protein intake ranges from 1.4 to 2.0 grams of protein per kilo of body weight per day. A 2005 Dietary Reference Intake report by the Food and Nutrition Board reported that there is no known upper limit of safety for protein intake as there is for carbohydrates and fats. The research results are mounting in favor of increasing protein intake for healthy adults.

Okay everybody listen - Vegetables have protein!!! People often get too much protein. Too much protein can cause weight gain, intestinal irritation, heart and kidney problems, nutritional deficiencies, and an increase in liver enzymes.
